The Observers Collaborative is a partnership between the League of Women Voters of Licking County and The Reporting Project. Our trained volunteers attend local government meetings—like school boards, city councils, and township trustees—to help keep the community informed.
We don’t take sides or advocate for issues. Instead, our goal is to promote transparency by observing meetings and sharing easy-to-read reports with the public. It’s all about helping Licking County residents stay connected and engaged with local decisions that affect their lives.
This project builds on the League’s earlier Observer Corps work and continues our shared mission of supporting informed and active participation in local government.

Join the Observers Collaborative and help shine a light on local government. As a trained volunteer observer, you’ll attend public meetings, spot the issues that matter, and share what you learn through short, unbiased reports. It’s a powerful way to keep your community informed and hold officials accountable—no advocacy, just transparency.
